I have been continuously involved in community knitted projects in public spaces since 2016. Each art object is strongly connection to a specific place, which gives it a deeper meaning. I apply my experience in fine arts, puppet theater, costume design and scenography, which I studied.
I always carefully look for ways to support the spirit of a particular place with my design. Knitted objects in public spaces offer a view of knitting as such, but in a different context than we are used to. We are drawn to them because we feel emotions and the closeness of what we know. Therefore, we want to get closer, touch them, and so they naturally become a place to stop, meet, rest..
